Not Gonna Lie...I honestly think "Story of Adidon" is the great rap diss track ever
|
I mean ever. Better than Hit Em Up, Takeover, or Ether.
The entire diss track cuts Drake with surgical precision and hits him where it really hurts. It isn’t a basic rap diss track, but almost a therapy session where Pusha digs deep into the roots of Drake’s insecurities and his relationship with his son at the time. He manages to connect Drake’s dad leaving him when he was a kid, his mother not being worried, and him being dead beat at the time with the kid he made with a porn star seamlessly. He made the whole thing seem effortless. And it was a total surprise attack, because I am sure everyone, Drake included, was expecting Pusha to talk about ghostwriting. Pusha himself knew everyone expected this to happen, which is why he began the diss with “drug dealing aside, ghostwriting aside”. And there are 0 filler lines, which is why it is so concise. Every line has a very good reason for being there.
I honestly think this is the greatest diss track ever. It is simple yet genius.

Drake played portions of "March 14" for Kanye in Wyoming.
|
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/drakes-march-14-and-pusha-ts-the-story-of-adidon-a-complicated-relationship-696198/
“I’m assuming [Drake] called the record ‘March 14′ ’cause that’s when he did the record,” T-Minus, who co-produced the track, tells Rolling Stone. (Drake has a history of songs named for the times he recorded them.) “I never even heard the content of the song until the album dropped,” the producer continues. “It was something private; it was supposed to be kept secure. The information got out and I’m assuming that’s how Push knew [about the child].”
The information may have gotten out in Wyoming, where Drake reportedly visited Kanye West. (Drake is credited on the Ye track “Yikes.”) “I was not there, but I do know that story: [Drake] played early versions of those songs and so on and so forth,” says Malik Yusef, a longtime West collaborator who also worked on Ye in Wyoming. “You gotta be careful how you move, I think. Not I think, I know: You g

Discussion: Best Diss Track of All TIme?
|
Personally, I really think it is Pusha T’s The Story of Adidon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=Alo52e_R9HI
Listening to it literally makes me cringe as to how far Pusha T goes to diss Drake. I actually feel bad for the man. It takes a lot to feel bad for a man with a net worth of millions. But I know there some other tracks that I am too young for, so let’s hear it.

Side note/Theory:
Considering all the rumors of this being a more confrontaional/Aggresive Drake on Scorpion early 2018, then kind of proving it by the quick and condescending Duppy Freestyle. I think theres a very high possibility that Drake addressed his little beef with X(RIP) on the album, which would be another thing he would definently have to change on it if so. Another wall essentially fucking up the alleged “Dont fuck with me” vibe on the album. Mans lowkey h
